Return and Refund Policy

Cape Agronomy / CWA (“we”, “us”, “our”) wants you to be satisfied with your purchase. This Return and Refund Policy explains the rules and process for returns, exchanges, refunds, and related matters for products purchased through our website and online store.

1. Return period

Our policy lasts 7 calendar days from the date of purchase or delivery, as applicable. If more than 7 calendar days have passed, we may be unable to offer a refund, exchange, or store credit, except where applicable consumer protection law provides otherwise.

2. Returns

Please choose carefully before making your purchase.

We do not accept returns or provide refunds simply because you changed your mind, selected the wrong item, or no longer want the product, unless required by law.

You may qualify for a return, exchange, store credit, or refund where the product:

  • is defective or damaged;

  • was incorrectly supplied;

  • does not match the description on the website;

  • is materially different from the sample shown; or

  • does not perform as reasonably intended, subject to applicable law.

To process any return, you must provide valid proof of purchase, such as your receipt or order confirmation.

3. Important conditions

Please also note the following:

  • Returned goods must be in a condition reasonably suitable for inspection.

  • We may refuse a return where the product has been misused, altered, damaged by improper handling, or used contrary to instructions.

  • Perishable or freshness-sensitive items may only be returned if they are defective, damaged, incorrectly supplied, or otherwise returnable under applicable law.

  • Sale or promotional items may not be eligible for refund unless the item is defective, damaged, or otherwise required by law to be refunded.

Once we receive your request, we will provide instructions for the return or exchange process.

5. Refunds

Once your returned item is received and inspected, we will notify you whether your refund has been approved or rejected.

If approved, your refund will be processed to the original method of payment where reasonably possible, unless another remedy is agreed or required. Please allow a reasonable processing period for the refund to reflect, depending on your bank or payment provider.

Where a cash refund is not operationally possible, we may offer another lawful remedy such as a product exchange or store credit, subject to applicable consumer law.

6. Late or missing refunds

If your refund has been approved but has not yet appeared, please first check with your bank, card issuer, or payment provider, as processing times can vary.

7. Exchanges

We replace items where they are defective, damaged, incorrectly supplied, or where another exchange remedy is appropriate.

To request an exchange, contact us at info@cwa.co.za before sending any goods back. We will provide further instructions once we have reviewed your request.

8. Gifts

If an item was purchased as a gift and shipped directly to you, we may, where appropriate, issue store credit, an exchange, or another suitable remedy once the returned product has been received and inspected.

If the item was not marked as a gift, or the order was placed by another person for later gifting, any refund will generally be processed to the original purchaser, unless otherwise agreed.

9. Return shipping

Unless the return is due to our error, a defective product, or another reason required by law, you are responsible for the cost of returning the goods.

Shipping costs are generally non-refundable unless required by law.

We recommend that you use a trackable shipping method where appropriate. We cannot guarantee that we will receive returned goods that are sent without tracking or proof of dispatch.

Do not ship products back until you have contacted us and received return instructions.
